Japan's top professional league, founded in 1950. 12 teams across the Central League and Pacific League. NPB stars who transitioned to MLB include Shohei Ohtani, Ichiro Suzuki, and Hideo Nomo.
The Korea Baseball Organization is South Korea's professional league with 10 teams. KBO exports to MLB include Hyun-Jin Ryu, Ha-Seong Kim, and Jung-Hoo Lee.
